There are many ways to get involved at the women’s center.  Give the gift of your time and talents to women experiencing homelessness in the Triangle, and touch a life in your own unique way.

Weekend Lunches To Go

The Women's Center provides bagged meals on Saturdays and Sundays to guests who have stayed with us during the day as they travel to their overnight destination. Help us provide a healthy meal for our guests to take with them for their evening meal. We need 30-35 bagged meals each Saturday and Sunday. Groups that sign up to provide Weekend Meals To Go will pack bags at their own location and deliver these bags to The Women's Center, 112 Cox Ave., Raleigh, by 3pm on the day they are to be distributed.

Sort Donations

We are fortunate to receive donations every day from generous neighbors in The Triangle. Help us sort food, clothing and hygiene items so that they are readily available for women when they need them most.

Host a Workshop or Activity Session

Activities enrich the lives of women at our center who are trying to get on their feet and meet their goals of permanent housing. Workshops and activity sessions engage clients and help enrich their lives by providing skills, building self-esteem and delivering much needed support. Activity sessions are held 10am-11am and 1pm-2pm and volunteers can sign up once or on an ongoing basis.

We welcome your talents/ideas for session topics. Some ideas are also offered below:

Instructional: Budgeting/Financial, Resume Writing/Mock Interviews, Self-Defense

Enrichment: Yoga, Art Therapy, Meditation, Music, Pilates, Guided Relaxation, Journaling

Crafts: Beading, Vision Boards or holiday crafts
